What is included in Level 1 Background Check?
Level 1 Background Check is conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and for FDLE purposes, it includes a search of the following databases: (i) The Florida Computerized Criminal History Central Repository for Florida arrests (state check); (ii) The Florida Crime Information Center for warrants and domestic violence injunctions (warrant files check).
What is Level 2 Background Check?
Level 2 Criminal History Record Check is a term used in Florida Statutes to convey the method of the criminal history record check and the extent of the data searched. Level 2 is a Florida state and national fingerprint-based check and consideration of disqualifying offenses and applies to those employees designated by law as holding positions of responsibility or trust. Section 435.04, mandates that Level 2 background security investigations be conducted on employees, defined as individuals required by law to be fingerprinted pursuant to Chapter 435.
Is Credit Report included in Level 2 Background Check?
Although some companies use the phrase “background check” to include driver’s record checks, credit checks, or interviews with neighbors and employers, this is NOT the case with Level 2 Background Check. During Level 2 Check, FDLE searches it Criminal History Repository for arrests, warrants and domestic violence records, while Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) completes its search through the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS) which is national automated fingerprint identification and criminal history system. IAFIS provides automated fingerprint search capabilities, latent searching capability, electronic image storage, and electronic exchange of fingerprints and responses. IAFIS houses the fingerprints and criminal histories of 70 million subjects in the criminal master file, 31 million civil prints and fingerprints from 73,000 known and suspected terrorists processed by the U.S. or by international law enforcement agencies compares applicant fingerprints against its national criminal history database at the FBI for federal arrests and arrests from other states (state and national check).

What is Out-of-State Fingerprint Service?
For applicants residing outside Florida, and in some cases outside the USA, IDENTICO offers an out-of-state service where depending on applicants location we can mail two sets of FD-258 fingerprint cards to the applicant, then aplicants visits local law enforcement agency and have fingerprints captured on the cards provided, ship us back the completed fingerprint cards, and upon receiving them we at IDENTICO digitize the fingerprints with FBI approved scanning equipment and submit to the requesting Florida state agency for credentialing or licensing. Who needs to be screened in the Summer Camps?
Personnel for the purposes of screening for summer day camps and summer 24-hour camps includes owners, operators, employees, and volunteers working in summer day camps and summer 24-hour camps providing care for children. Volunteers who assist on an intermittent basis for less than 10 hours per month do not need to be screened if a person who meets the screening requirement is always present and has the volunteer in his or her line of sight.
How far do you travel for mobile fingerprinting?
Generally we cover the area within 60 mile radius from our office location, but we commonly cover Martin, St.Lucie, Indian River, Monroe, as well as Collier Counties with our mobile services.
Do you accept cash as payment?
We accept Cash, Credit Card, Debit Card, Apple Pay, as well as corporate checks as the payment menthod.
What should I bring for my visit?
To ensure a smooth process during your visit, please remember to bring the following items: Valid Government Issued Photo Identification, ORI#, or VECHS# Number for the required fingerprint submission, OCA# number for DCF or APD submissions, If self-paying, we accept major debit/credit cards or exact cash, If paid by your employer, please bring a written or emailed authorization from your employer, who must have an established company account with IDENTICO, Employer business card or contact information for verification, if required for your screening. For drug testing, please arrive properly hydrated and ready to provide a sample. Bring chain of custody or other screening request forms, if applicable.
