The Agency for Health Care Administration has updated the requirements applicable to Livescan Vendors and Service
Providers providing services to employers and applicants in the Florida Clearinghouse. This includes employers and
applicants for the following specified state agencies:
Agency for Health Care Administration (EAHCA020Z)
Managed Care Health Plans (EAHCA790Z)
Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (EDOEVR100, VDOEVR100, EDOEVR200, VDOEVR200)
Department of Health (Multiple ORIs)
The new requirements, effective July 1, 2014, state:
Chapter Law 2014-84, section 435.04(1)(e)2.
435.04 Level 2 screening standards.—
(1)(e) Vendors who submit fingerprints on behalf of employers must:
1. Meet the requirements of s. 943.053; and
2. Have the ability to communicate electronically with the state agency accepting screening results from the Department of Law Enforcement and provide the applicant’s full first name, middle initial, and last name; social security number or individual taxpayer identification number; date of birth; mailing address; sex; and race Pursuant to the new requirements, Livescan vendors must collect and provide the social security number or individual taxpayer identification number in all fingerprint and photograph submissions to the Clearinghouse. If an individual does not have a social security number or individual taxpayer identification number (i.e. a volunteer) a nine-digit government issued identification number should be used instead.
